Who we are
Zero Transit is a go-to-market studio. We take new brands from idea to market: web, web apps, mobile (iOS and Android), creative video, and the GTM strategy that ties it together. Most early brands lose weeks bouncing between a brand shop, a dev agency, and a marketing team. We put all of that under one roof, so there are no handoffs and no lag.
Idea to market. Zero lag.
The role
We're looking for a UI/UX Design Intern to design real product and marketing surfaces that actually ship, not mockups that sit in a folder. You'll work directly with the founder and alongside the developers who build what you design. Because there are no handoffs here, you won't throw files over a wall and hope; you'll sit with the people building it and see your work go live.
This is a hands-on role for someone early in their design career who wants range: one week you might be designing a landing page, the next a mobile app flow or a form that has to convert.
What you'll work on
- Design responsive web pages and web app interfaces in Figma
- Design mobile app screens and flows for iOS and Android
- Turn rough product ideas into wireframes, then into clean, high-fidelity UI
- Design conversion-focused surfaces: landing pages, onboarding, and lead forms
- Build and extend components so our work stays consistent across projects
- Work through real client problems, not hypothetical exercises
What we're looking for
- A portfolio (or coursework and side projects) that shows how you think, not just how things look
- Working knowledge of Figma: components, auto layout, and prototyping
- A real grip on the fundamentals: layout, hierarchy, spacing, type, color
- An eye for detail and the patience to get the last 10% right
- Clear communicator who can explain why a design decision was made
- Self-directed, comfortable in a small team where nobody hands you a 40-page brief
Bonus points
- You've shipped something real that people have used
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and how designs get built
- Motion or micro-interaction sense
- Some feel for how design connects to go-to-market: how a page earns a click, a signup, a sale
What you'll get
- Real ownership. Your work ships to real users, fast.
- Direct mentorship from the founder, who works across product design and development
- Exposure to the whole pipeline, from design to build to launch, instead of one narrow slice
- A portfolio of live, shipped work by the time you're done
- A small team that moves quickly and takes design seriously
