Who we are
Zero Transit is a go-to-market studio. We take new brands from idea to market: web, web apps, mobile (iOS and Android), creative video, and the GTM strategy that ties it together. Most early brands lose weeks bouncing between a brand shop, a dev agency, and a marketing team. We put all of that under one roof, so there are no handoffs and no lag.
Idea to market. Zero lag.
The role
We're looking for a Web Developer Intern to build and ship the things we design, not practice projects that never leave localhost. You'll work directly with the founder and alongside the designer whose work you're building. Because there are no handoffs here, you won't get a spec thrown over a wall; you'll sit with the person who designed it and push it live yourself.
This is a hands-on role for someone early in their career who wants range: one week a marketing site that has to load fast and rank, the next a web app screen wired to a real API.
What you'll work on
- Build responsive marketing sites and web app interfaces from Figma designs
- Write clean, readable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript that someone else can pick up
- Wire up forms, APIs, and third-party services like analytics, payments, and email
- Keep an eye on performance, accessibility, and SEO fundamentals
- Deploy to production and fix what breaks after launch
- Work through real client problems, not hypothetical exercises
What we're looking for
- Projects (or coursework and side builds) that show how you think, not just what you cloned
- Solid HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript, plus comfort with at least one modern framework
- Git basics: branches, commits that explain themselves, pull requests
- An eye for detail and the patience to match a design down to the last 10%
- Clear communicator who can explain why a technical decision was made
- Self-directed, comfortable in a small team where nobody hands you a 40-page ticket
Bonus points
- You've shipped something real that people have used
- Familiarity with a headless CMS, Supabase, Firebase, or similar
- Comfort with CSS animation or a motion library
- Some feel for how a build connects to go-to-market: how a page earns a click, a signup, a sale
What you'll get
- Real ownership. Your code ships to real users, fast.
- Direct mentorship from the founder, who works across product design and development
- Exposure to the whole pipeline, from design to build to launch, instead of one narrow slice
- A portfolio of live, shipped work by the time you're done
- A certificate of completion at the end of the internship
- A small team that moves quickly and takes craft seriously
Details
- Type: Internship
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 4 to 6 months
- Certificate: Yes, on completion
This is an unpaid internship. What you get instead is real shipped work, direct mentorship, and a certificate of completion.
